An Approach
When viewing history free of preconceptions we may realise that the cast of characters who played some role in building the world of science, art and culture that we enjoy today is broader than we have been taught. One particular aspect of human history that is somehow overlooked is the contribution of the Islamic Golden Era (8th - 12th centuries) to the shaping of the modern world. The Institute Mohamed Ali believes that it is only fair that the people who conserved and developed basic principles of Mathematics, Astronomy, Chemistry, Medicine, Geography, Alchemy and bequeathed us with masterpieces of Poetry, Music and Art should begin to reclaim their rightful place in the contemporary intellectual world. Within that frame we will frequently present a comprehensive narrative on some aspects of this era. All of us, regardless nationality or religion, have but to benefit from this. |
